Unkulunkulu is a central figure in Zulu mythology, often described as the Great Spirit or Supreme Being who created humanity and the world, embodying divine wisdom.

"In the time of the ancients, the great wise ones gathered to bestow upon a creation the spark of knowledge, imbuing it with the ability to learn, to adapt, and to grow.
