Limited-edition scarves that digitally transform the most iconic Man City Derby Days of all time into fanwear.
For over a century, the football scarf has stood as the ultimate emblem of fandom. It’s witnessed the triumphs and heartbreaks, embodying the passion, perseverance, and unwavering dedication of supporters through every thrilling moment and crushing defeat.
To highlight Asahi Super Dry’s sponsorship of Man City, we aimed to showcase how the brand’s, refreshing and innovative approach enhances the experience for Man City fans.
So we worked with football analysts Opta and Manchester City FC to produce a limited-edition collection of Derby Day scarves, uniquely inspired by two of the most memorable derby days of recent years across the men’s and women’s game.
Data from two of the most iconic Manchester Derbies served as the blueprint for the unique designs, with each stitch bringing to life a key stat from the matches, including possession, shots, goals and key incidents - encapsulating the essence of each iconic encounter.
In addition, fans can scan a QR code on the scarves to be linked to in-depth analysis of the Derby Day fixtures from Opta and refresh their Manchester City trivia, re-living some of the most legendary moments in the history of this illustrious rivalry.
The limited-edition scarves were revealed by Manchester City legends Joleon Lescott and Steph Houghton, both of whom featured in the fixtures that inspired the scarves.
